Dr. Tina Tanna

Dr Tanna has been at the Practice since it opened over 11 years ago. Dr Tanna set the practice up after working for eleven years as an Associate at other practices in the Surrey / Middlesex area.
She qualified from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 1987 and has become a respected General Dental Practitioner. Attendance at numerous dental courses and meetings has enabled her to keep abreast of the latest developments in Dentistry and she is an active member of the Local Dental Committee, representing Local Dentists.
Dr Tanna's main interests are Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry and Preventative Dental Care, and she is trained to provide sleepwell anti-snore appliances and acupuncture for nervous patients, please contact the practice for more information.
Dr. Bridgit Wigg
Dr Wigg qualified in 1997 at Guys Dental Hospital, London. Worked in hospital for a year where she gained experience in many disciplines before starting to work in General Practice over 10 years ago.
Dr Wigg has been at the Abbeymead Dental Centre for nearly 7 years where she has developed her keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Vanessa Fryer
Dr Fryer qualified at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2001. She worked in South Africa for 3 years after she qualified. In 2004 she moved to the UK and practiced in London.
Dr Fryer has recently moved to Surrey and is now an established General Dentist with a keen interest in Preventative and Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Reena Irvinn BDS
After qualifying in 2005 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas's, Dr Irvinn spent a year as an Associate General Dental Practitioner at a busy Practice in the Isle of Wight before returning to work in the West London area.
Her particular interest is in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, and to further her experience and learning in this field she took part in a yearlong Restorative Dentistry course with the world renowned Specialist Dr Michael Wise in Wimpole Street, London. Her fresh ideas and considerate approach will be an asset to both her patients and the Practice.
Dr. Harman Kler
Dr Kler qualified in 2005 from Bristol University. She has worked in General Practice since and spent a year working as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery working at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Harman joined the Practice in August 2008 as a Dentist.
Dr Kler is committed to continuing postgraduate education and is due to sit part 2 exam of the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF).
Her particular areas of interest are Preventive, Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
Matthew - Practice Manager
Matthew has been with the Abbeymead Dental Centre since it opened and is a major asset to the practice.
He is now a qualified Dental Surgery Assistant, and he has attained an additional qualification in Dental Radiography.
Matthew is generally the first point of contact at the Practice and is there to help answer any questions you may have.
Dr. Raji Ranganathan - Specialist Oral Surgeon
Qualified in 1996 and worked for 2 years as a general dental practitioner. She completed her Masters in Oral Surgery from India in 2001 and was awarded the Diplomate in National Boards in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by the Directorate of Health, New Delhi in 2003.
She completed her Membership exams of Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is also a Member of Faculty of Dental Surgery awarded by Royal College of Surgeons, England and is on the Oral Surgery specialist list of General Dental Council.
She has diverse experience after having worked in various Hospitals, part time clinical teacher at King’s College, London and as a Specialist Oral Surgeon in various private dental practices. She is currently involved in the provision of Specialist Oral Surgery services for West Berkshire and North Surrey PCT. She is also an examiner for the Post Graduate Dental Diploma conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons, England. Her particular interests are Implant Surgery and conscious sedation in primary care. She is particularly good with anxious or Nervous patients.
Dr. Claudia Ramirez-Bommer - Stat Exam MSc (Endo) Lond Endodontist
Dr Ramirez-Bommer received her DDS (Hons) in dentistry from UEES, San Salvador, El Salvador in 1996 and since then she has been building her expertise and reputation in the specialist area of Endodontics. After qualification, she worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Endodontics at UEES, combined with General Practice.
Dr Ramirez-Bommer has been living and working in the UK since 1999 where she successfully completed the MSc programme in Endodontics at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. She has worked in many areas of dentistry but now limits her practice to Endodontic Treatment.
She carries out routine root canal treatment, re-treatment of failed cases, complex canal anatomy, management of perforations, removal of posts and fractured instruments and surgical endodontics. Her expertise also includes diagnosis of orofacial pain, management of dento-alveolar trauma, and bleaching of endodontically treated teeth. The treatment is provided using the latest technology such as: an operating microscope, digital radiography, apex-locator, and ultrasonics.
Dr Ramirez-Bommer is a member of the British and European Endodontic Societies and also works in a Referral Practice in Kent.
When not working she enjoys combining travel with photography.
Dr Tziana Georgiou BDS MSc (Periodontics) - Specialist in Periodontics
After graduating as a General Dentist in 1994, Tziana worked for the following 5 years in her private practice in Athens, Greece. In 1999 she embarked on a three year specialist training course in Periodontics at the University of Queensland, Australia. She graduated there with a MSc degree in 2001 and gained Specialist Periodontist registration with the UK General Dental Council in 2003.
Tziana is the author of several articles on Periodontics and an active member of the British Society of Periodontology and the BDA. Tziana’s practice is limited to Periodontics and she offers complete periodontal services including conservative and surgical procedures.
Dr Judith Wheble BDS Lond. Msc Lond. FDS RCS Edin. D Orth RCS Eng.
Dr Judith Wheble is joining The Abbeymead Dental Centre in May 2010.
Judy qualified from University College Hospital, London, in 1974 and after three years at Dundee Dental Hospital and in the Community Dental Service in Fife she returned south for specialist training. She studied at the Royal Dental and St Georges Hospitals in London, gaining an MSc and Diploma in Orthodontics in 1979 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.
She set up a Specialist Orthodontic Practice in Ripley, Surrey in 1982 and 25 years of full time Orthodontic practice later she now enjoys a working life split between Scotland and Surrey / Hampshire.
In her spare time she participates regularly in Bridge-2-Aid’s volunteer programme in Tanzania. She has recently spent time working as a volunteer in Peru with Dental Project Peru, climbed Kilimanjaro and trekked along the Great Wall of China, and in Bhutan.
She will now be able to provide all types of braces including invisble 'invisalign'. Special introductory offer for a consultation = £50 (normally £85)!

Dr Gurpreet Athwal
Dr Athwal qualified in 2003 from the University of Sheffield. Working in Hospitals in Wales and Bath for almost two years as a Senior House officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, has helped develop her interest and skills in Oral Surgery.
She has also worked in a variety of practice settings including community dentistry and joined the practice in 2010.
Dr Athwal has completed exams for both the membership of the faculty of dental sugeons (MFDS), and membership of the faculty of general dental practitioners (MFGDP). She has a keen interest in oral surgery and treating anxious patients.
